All Nova Scotians are proud of their heritage, but perhaps none more so than the Acadians of West Chezzetcook and Grand Désert. It is with that spirit of pride and commitment that the community – through l’Acadie de Chezzetcook - has launched a project to save and convert the former St. Anselm’s Church into a center for interpretation, performing and visual arts, and cultural awareness.
Where We’re at Now: With the exterior complete, we are now turning our attention to the interior of the Centre. In December 2025 flooring was installed. Next we will complete the washrooms.
Next Steps: Now, to continue with construction, and meet our goal of opening by spring 2026, we need your help. While we are continuing to pursue other government funds to support our work, we still need private donations if we hope to complete this work.
