Support CIAC Construction

All Nova Scotians are proud of their heritage, but perhaps none more so than the Acadians of West Chezzetcook and Grand Désert. It is with that spirit of pride and commitment that the community – through l’Acadie de Chezzetcook - has launched a project to save and convert the former St. Anselm’s Church into a center for interpretation, performing and visual arts, and cultural awareness.

Where We’re at Now: With the exception of the entry stairs and ramp, the exterior is complete. Inside we have built new event spaces, painted, refinished woodwork and laid all new floors. Next we are turning our attention to completing the final pieces that will allow us to open, such as washrooms and the front entry doors and stairs.

Next Steps: To meet our goal of opening by spring 2027, we need your help. While we are continuing to pursue other government funds to support our work, we still need private donations if we hope to complete this work.

How You Can Help: You can make a donation to help us continue our work to make the Centre a vibrant cultural space that will benefit the community for years to come. Your contribution can make all the difference.
